Nike always makes an interesting commercial. They are able to make the shoes show that they are great skateboarding shoes without any words. This is a great example of what we studied earlier with the visual metaphor ads. They do not need anything but the product and the logo and an example of it being used and you KNOW that it is a quality product. I noticed in the ad that they had a few well-known people and when they appear in the ad they aren't even paying attention to the shoes, although they are wearing them, but they are more interested in what the skateboarders are doing. Ice Cube is an exception in the last statement, he decides to add a twist by running over the skateboard that has had so much attention and the kid is still happy, he's got great shoes!
