Being that I knew someone who was autistic, I understand what people with this disorder go through. The struggles that they have and the challenges that they face. People with this disorder tend to not be able to focus on a majority of topics but are able to excel in one area. Once they find this area, wether it be video games, math, science, art, anything; they do amazing things. I know for a fact that no matter how hard it was on this parent to raise autistic kids, she did the wrong thing. There are plenty of places that offer help out there, like Care.com or Autism Society of America. The point is that there are many, many places that are willing to help and to resort to such an extreme measure is uncalled for.
